Deepa Muralidhar:

I am a computer science teacher at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia located in Atlanta, Georgia.
I teach introductory computer science classes as well as AP Computer Science and I am currently piloting the new CS Principles course. Besides teaching I am a part of the Leadership Cohort Science for the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and vice-president of Georgia CSTA.
I am interested in growing computer science education at the K-12 level and increasing the number of girls taking computer science. It is my personal goal to create curriculum, provide teacher training and broaden student participation so that in the upcoming decade, every high school student takes a computer science course before graduating from high school.
I officially piloted Pilot II & Pilot III and am now a part of Phase II of pilot instructors where we are rolling out CS Principles to a larger number of schools.

Grace Ongchangco

My name is Grace Ongchangco, and I am a senior in North Gwinnett High. I am Ms. Deepa’s research assistant for the year 2013-2014. Most of the time I go into my computer and check out programs such as Alice, Scratch, and Unity. I wanted to expand more in my creativity, not just through art, but through programming as well. I was excited that I won the computer graphics design in North Gwinnett Cluster Schools, and realized that there are more things you can achieve in the computer technology.

Angela Park

My name is Angela Park, and I am a junior at North Gwinnett High School.  As Mrs. Deepa’s current research assistant for the CS Principles course at NGHS, I hope to get many things accomplished this year.  Another thing that I do regarding technology at NGHS is promoting technology (especially to the girls) through a club called GATE (Girls Aware of Technology and Engineering).  Outside of the technology / computer science realm, I enjoy playing the piano, solving fun, yet challenging math problems, drawing, and socializing with friends.
